- Acted for various clients in the out of court settlements of multi-billion TZS tax disputes with the Tanzania Revenue Authority.
- Acted for a client in negotiating and drafting of the agreed fiscal regime for a mega/strategic project/investment in the oil and gas sector.
- Advised mining companies in negotiating Framework Agreements with the Government in view of restructuring and operating mines, including the government’s acquisition of free carried interest (FCI) shares.
- Advised foreign mining companies in transactions involving acquisition of land for mining purposes in Tanzania
- Advised a foreign mining company in acquisition of land and relocation of cemetery for purposes of mining operations under the Special Mining Licence
- Advised and acted for a client in negotiating key project documents in a strategic mid-stream cross-border energy project.
- Advised a foreign natural gas company in a multi-billion dollar transaction involving purchasing and transporting natural gas through a pipeline between Tanzania and a neighbouring country.
- Advised petroleum companies regarding petroleum bulk procurement system in relation to operation of a petrol stations; use of their trade mark at the petrol stations and importation of petroleum products into Tanzania.
- Advised a client in the transaction involving importation of petroleum products through petroleum bulk procurement system, storage of the imported products and tax implications.
- Advised a mining company in a transaction involving amalgamating primary mining licences (PMLs); converting the amalgamated PMLs into one Mining Licence and enlarging over 5 Mining Licences into one Mining Licence.
- Advised various mining companies regarding mining local content and free carried interest regulations.
- Advised a client on Mutual Agreement Procedure (MAP) in respect of dispute settlement under a Double Taxation Agreement between Tanzania and her counterpart.
- Assisted a client in a multi-billion dollar transaction that involved drafting and reviewing a Bus Supply and Maintenance Agreement.
- Advised a client in a multi-million dollar transaction involving negotiating and reviewing the Concession Agreement for ports operations from the Tanzanian law perspective.
- Advised clients on procedures, compliance and related matters in respect of public procurement requirements under Tanzanian laws.
- Assisted clients on companies’ incorporation, secretarial and compliance matters.
- Assisted various clients in relation to Beneficial Owners Regulations Compliance.
- Advised and acted for a client in a transaction involving asset transfer for fuel stations for a large oil and gas company.
- Assisted a number of clients in transactions involving sub-division of land, renewal of title deeds and change of land use.
- Advised and acted for a client in a transaction involving registration of lease of an aircraft with relevant authorities.
- Acted for a renown Bank in relation to a transaction involving real estate financing in the hospitality and tourism industry in East Africai
- Consulted by a regional bank on the equipment facility to a leasing company in view of financing the purchase of trucks and trailers.
- Handled a transaction involving a takeover by a cement company which is indirectly connected to another cement company.
- Worked on competition matters that required clearance from Mainland Tanzania’s Fair Competition Commission and Zanzibar Fair Competition Commission.
- Acted for majority of banks in the registration of all terms and conditions as required under the Fair Competition Act.
- Advised and acted for a client in a multi-billion dollar transaction involving unification of various blocks under Production Sharing Agreements (PSAs) for top most oil and gas companies operating in Tanzania.
- Advised one of the largest mining companies in Tanzania in a merger notification in respect of share and claims transfer transaction involving shareholders of such a company.
